PARIPALLY GAJAMELA

This is a grand elephant procession comprising at least 50 numbers of caparisoned elephants with colourful umbrellas, venchamaram and alavattom. It attracts hundreds of people to Kodimoottil Bhagavathy Temple at Parippally in Kollam during the month of March. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. This festival of elephants takes place on the last day of the ten-day festival at the temple.
